Women r process oriented & Men r result oriented

Before I start writing this blog I was to put a few things into perspective

This blog by no means is disrespecting any particular gender. The comments are to be looked at from that perspecitve. The Process - Result orientation has its own share of pros and cons.

I have heard this statement many times that "Women are process oriented & Men are result oriented", and everytime I hear it, I tell myself, yet another comparison between men & women which will invite extreme comments from both. But if u really think deep into this statement, there is merit in it. Let me share the famous example that I have heard to explain this statement better. A husband comes back from office tired. He has a splitting headache. the moment wife sees him, she starts to ask questions on why is he feeling dull, what are the reasons for the headache, did he have his breakfast or lunch, which part of the head is aching..etc. All the husband wanted is a cup of hot coffee or tea and tablet for headache. Contrasting behaviors but beautifully explains the statement.

We all know women predominantly (even men occasionally) are shopaholics and get very excited when they are out shopping. Take an instance where the wife has shopped for 4 hours to buy a saree. When she is home and she shows it to her husband, the obvious reaction of the husband would be to say" Its nice - how much is it?" But the wife expects the husband to ask, where all did she go, how many shops did she search for this saree, how did she bargain with the shopkeeper etc. But it does not come naturally to men, does it?

These behavior are very individualistic and are extremely natural. So realising this in itself will be half the battle won.

All the married men & women of this society, start taking notice of this - Good starting point for people who may get married soon.
